Country Fried Steak



Looking for a quick meal idea using Cubed Steak? Add some mashed potatoes and gravy and this will be a regular in your dinnertime meal plans.



Defrost a package of Back Forty Beef Cubed Steak.



Ingredients:

  • Three pound of Back Forty Beef Cubed Steak

  • 1 1/2 cups of milk

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon of pepper

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoons of Lowry’s Seasoned Salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika

  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil

  • 1 package of the Pioneer brand peppered gravy mix

  • Potatoes and your favorite mashed recipe.


1. Defrost Back Forty Beef Cubed Steak

2. Mix milk and eggs in one bowl.

3. In a second bowl mix flour, seasoned salt black pepper, and paprika in another.

4. Place meat in the milk and egg bowl turning to coat each piece. Then place meat in the flour mix bowl; again turning the meat to coat it in the mixture. Once done place meat on a clean plate. Repeat the process until every piece is complete.

5. Heat vegetable oil on a pan over medium heat. Add a teaspoon of butter and a few sprinkles of flour. When the butter sizzles place meat on the pan.

6. Cook each piece of meat for about two minutes on each side until they are golden brown.

7. After the meat is cooked use the remaining grease to add to your Pioneer gravy mix.

8. Place cooked meat over a bed of mashed potatoes and pour some gravy on top and enjoy!
